Since the tennis team selection for Paralympics 2012 was started, there was chaos. As Paes was being continuously rejected by Mahesh bhupathi and Rohan Boppanna. Even before the selection Mahesh and Rohan has written a letter to AITA regarding their selection. They quoted, "If they were selected they will only play if they were made the pair". But, AITA keeping some close look at the medal, thought of selecting experienced and high ranked players to be sent to London olympics.
There was an option of sending two teams to Olympics, but they selected only one team for Men's doubles pairing Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi, the top two rank holders.
Since then the controversy started, later it has become a great dispute which made a call for the minister to get in resolving the matter. Paes was rejected totally by Mahesh and Rohan. Mahesh told that AITA could select two teams, but why are they going against my decision, i m sure not to play pairing up with Paes.
While Paes is totally on the same direction either way, he is ready to play with anyone who is selected by AITA.
We could not blame Paes for his activity during the past. The other players should keep it in mind that they are playing for their nation and play without any egos , disputes , problems.
