In the semis, India had a tough opponent Germany whom they narrowly defeated 1-0 to enter into the finals!
Finals was crucial where India were facing recently separated and strong side Pakistan! India beat Pakistan 1-0 to win their sixth consecutive gold at the Olympic Games!
